The JH Taylor and Pam Barton Courses offer two very different tests of golf.  Both courses were designed by the great J. H. Taylor, with true, undulating, fast greens.

The JH Taylor Course re-opened on the 29th June 2014 and is now showcasing 18 USGA spec greens - the culmination of a 7-year project.  The course has held several famous tournaments beginning with the old News of the World Matchplay Championship in 1904 when a crowd of 2,000 watched the final. The  Amateur Championship of England was held here in 1946, the PGA Championship in 1961 and 1968 and the Boys' Championship in 1962 and again in the centenary year of 1992.  In the 1980s the JH Taylor Course staged the Equity and Law for all the years of the tournament's existence.

In 2017, the Club's 125th anniversary, the JH Taylor course hosted the Men's Surrey County Championships and the Ladies' British Matchplay Championships.

The Pam Barton Course, although shorter in length, is a challenging course, with dexterously designed holes to defy even the best players' course management skills.  Set in the beautiful surrounds of Old Deer Park, it is home to The Mothers & Daughters Open Competition and it hosted the Junior Surrey County Championship in 2014.
